Nage Gold Earrings (Wea Bholo). Gold earrings from central Flores, Indonesia. Probably 19th century although examples have been dated to the eighteenth century. Traditional earrings of the Nage people in the form of leaves. They are traditional part of the bride barter process, presented by a suitor to the woman he wishes to marry. Total length is 90mm. Both are absolutely intact. Most likely always worn together but patterning is different to both. Price on request.
